First ‘Mobile Suit Gundam’ Anime DVD & BD Releases Scheduled Nozomi Entertainment is now setting into place its first Blu-ray release this fall with the debut of Mobile Suit Gundam, the original series that started it all. They’ll be bringing out the first of two sets on November 3rd, 2015 where it’ll contain the first twenty-one episodes in bilingual form for fans. Clocking in at 525 minutes, it’ll list for $74.99 for the Blu-ray and $59.99 for the DVD. With it holding more episodes than your normal set, and being a Sunrise show, that’s definitely some good pricing to see considering what it could be.

For the Blu-ray, the release will be in HD native 1080p with both the Japanese and English language tracks being done in PCM format. The Blu-ray release will be spread over two discs, which works since it’s a full frame show with less material to compress, while the DVDs will be over four discs, all of which is working off of the recent remastered video from Japan.

Special features for the releases include the Clean Opening, Clean Closing, Blu-ray and DVD Commercials.

Check out the cover artwork below.

But when the colony suffers a Zeon surprise attack, these new weapons fall into the hands of a motley crew of civilians and cadets, and fate places a youth named Amuro Ray at the controls of the white mobile suit Gundam…
