‘Inside the Sideshow Studio’ Visual Tour Book Coming Soon Set for release in June from Insight Editions, the visual tour book of Inside Sideshow Studios is something that fans of figure collecting at home and abroad can get into. Sideshow Collectibles has been producing some really strong material for awhile now and the new book is one that looks to be pretty interesting as it works through the process and digs into the way the production itself goes. The hardcover book is set to run 128 pges for $24.95 with high quality paper that delves into some of their more well known releases.

“The world of Sideshow itself, and the renaissance-like environment it fosters, is the subject of this unique photographic exploration of creativity and the spaces it inhabits. A must-have for fans and creatives, this beautifully illustrated book will not only grant a look at Sideshow that few have ever seen, but also will inspire readers to push the limits of their talent and surround themselves with artistic spaces of their own.

With numerous awards under its belt, Sideshow Collectibles is a globally renowned specialty creator of high-end figures, widely recognized for its high-quality products. As Sideshow does not give public tours of its offices, this book provides the only way for most fans to see the unique environment in which the collectibles they love are created.”

Kotobukiya Shows Off Import ‘Catwoman’ ARTFX+ Statue The folks at Kotobukiya are at it again as they’ve introduced the October 2013 import release of a new DC Comics statue with Catwoman. The company has worked a number of DC Comics characters, notably in the hero vein, and is now adding one of the more sought after characters for fans to get their hands on. Standing nearly 8 inches tall (in the ARTFX+ 1/10th scale), Catwoman was sculpted by master artist Goutaro Takeuchi (Atelier Bamboo), who previously sculpted the DC Comics New 52 Justice League ARTFX+ statues. Like the other DC ARTFX+ Statues, Catwoman has magnets in her feet for perfect stability on the included base, and she’ll look great displayed on your shelf by herself or alongside other DC ARTFX+ statues.

“Stealing the limelight in her skin-tight leather jumpsuit and carrying her trademark whip and claws, Catwoman stands in a relaxed pose, yet is light on her feet, ready to either fight or flee as the situation requires. Selina Kyle’s first appearance in the ARTFX+ lineup captures her classic look perfectly. The details on Catwoman are exceptional from the intricate folds and seams on her costume to the small touches like the zipper, boot buckles, whip, and claws. Kotobukiya’s unique take on Catwoman features a reflective sheen to her black cat-suit, with her fully painted features visible through her goggles.”
