Colorful and Romantic Wedding at Ancaster Mill

Joan and David share a love of adventure and rock climbing. That’s why they decided to hold an outdoor ceremony and hire an incredible photographer to take them on a photo shoot adventure through the breathtaking scenery surrounding Ancaster Mill in Ontario. Eyekahfoto expertly captured the couple sharing sweet moments away from the crowd. Warm florals made up the bride’s bouquet and hung in bottles from the white wooden wedding arch. We love this earthy wedding look!

The Couple:

Joan and David

The Wedding:

Ancaster Mill , Ancaster, Ontario

The Inspiration:

When we set out to plan our wedding, we agreed that the ultimate goal was to throw a large party to celebrate not only our marriage, but also our connection with our families and friends. This required plenty of dance floor, an eclectic mix of music, and an open bar. We wanted the venue to be classic and the atmosphere to be warm. We didn’t have an overall wedding decor theme, but followed our gut instinct and aesthetic sense with all major decisions.

The Moments:

Our eclectic wedding theme and relaxed atmosphere set the stage for our favorite moments from the wedding: the emotional speeches from our parents, our personally written vows, and dancing the night away with our friends and relatives.

The Couple Recommends:

The Ancaster Mill was the perfect venue to realize our dream day, and they gave us both the flexibility and guidance we needed. It was love at first sight with my bridal gown designed by Lusan Mandongus, our florist Sue Gallo impressed us with her professionalism and creativity, and my makeup artist Maggie Ng knew what I wanted even when I couldn’t put it in words. Most importantly of all, we had an instant connection with our photographer from Eyekahfoto. She made us feel comfortable to be ourselves and she understood the adventurous spirit of our relationship. We loved that her photos were candid, romantic, and very unique.

Mexican Inspired Wedding at The Muckenthaler Cultural Center

After finding out they share a similar sense of humor and a love for Ace Ventura movies, Marisa and Ryan realized they are meant for each other. Wanting to offer a true celebration reflective of their heritage, the couple held their Mexican inspired wedding at The Muckenthaler Cultural Center in Fullerton, California. Warm colored florals, magenta bridesmaid dresses, and an authentic mariachi band all came together with the help of Intertwined Events to create their festive wedding. APictureLife Photography expertly captured the couple’s big day!

The Couple:

Marisa and Ryan

The Wedding:

The Muckenthaler Cultural Center , Fullerton, CA

The Inspiration:

For the overall decor theme for the wedding, we drew inspiration from a few different areas. I love vintage Mexican calendars, which typically feature beautiful illustrations of women in traditional Mexican dress, lush florals, vibrant colors etc. This was the basis for the colors we chose (magenta and gold with orange accents), that carried throughout many aspects of the wedding (bridesmaid dresses, florals, paper goods and stationary, our cake, dance floor etc.) I also love Art Nouveau and Art Deco and that lent to some of the metallic accents we incorporated throughout the wedding (monogram design, invitations, florals, linens, gold chiavaris etc). Above all, I wanted to tie elements of these eclectic inspirations together, into a true celebration reflective of our heritage and our unique style and personalities.

The Moments:

Although it is hard to choose…one moment that particularly stands out for both of us would have to be our first dance. Gliding across the dance floor under the soft glow of the cafe lights and glass star lanterns, surrounded by our family and friends cheering us on, was a truly magical experience. The love emanating from everyone around us was palpable for Ryan and me and we will cherish that experience in particular, for the rest of our lives.

The Couple Recommends:

Our entire team was first class, all the way. We sincerely cannot recommend our vendors highly enough. Everyone we worked with showed genuine care and commitment to helping us make our dreams for our wedding into reality. Southwestern Inspired Wedding at Amangiri

The understated elegance of Amangiri , in the heart of Canyon Point, Utah, served as the source of inspiration for Laramy and Jon’s wedding. The Southwestern-themed celebration wouldn’t have been complete without Navajo flutes playing as Laramy walked down the aisle with her father or the incredible beauty of the Grand Canyon in the distance. Photographer David of Chris Bailey Photography captured the festive day, including the smallest details and the bride’s larger-than-life smile!

The Couple:

Laramy and Jon

The Wedding:

Amangiri , Canyon Point, Utah

The Inspiration:

I would say our wedding evolved into a Southwestern theme inspired by the natural beauty of our surroundings (Utah/Grand Canyon) and the eclectic nature of our family/friends. I wanted everyone to dress to reflect their own personalities.

After Jade (the mayor/officiant) announced husband and wife, chaos erupted. My father started shooting pistols, my sister started balling, friends were cheering. It was so much fun, I later passed out in my dinner plate.
