Mystic Beach Styled Shoot

We’re absolutely captivated by the creative high-fashion styling of this mystic beach styled shoot. Photographed by Paula O’Hara , the waterfront destination is a tremendous backdrop for the ethereal tone of the shoot. Producer, Art Director and Stylist Grace & Saviour was inspired by the passion of the free spirit, which was captured flawlessly by Paula O’Hara. Here’s what Grace & Saviour had to say about the essence of the shoot:

Collaborating with Paula on a separate project, we both realized we were individually drawn to the feel and the lyrics of this song:

‘Smell the sea and feel the sky
Let your soul and spirit fly into the mystic’

‘And I want to rock your gypsy soul’
-Van Morrison

We wanted to create a shoot that stripped the song bare, that looked at the feeling of longing, and of the wild, great elements of the sea and the sky. The shoot was dreamed up to allow our team to play with the wild, Irish gypsy spirit, passionate and romantic, on the rugged and unpredictable Donegal coastline. Nothing was set in stone, dresses, hair styles, floral design, were all selected to work with the elements, rather than independent of them. We let ourselves to, be a little free and gypsy like, so that on the day we could enjoy the drifting sands and whipping winds, forage for beach grasses and rock flowers and let Paula and her camera record the results.

What a treat we have today – some of the prettiest tabletop decor ideas I’ve seen, and all inspired by the one and only style icon, Coco Chanel! Los Angeles based wedding planners Nikki and Madiha Khan of Exquisite Events worked with an ultra-talented team of professionals to bring their vision to life in this inspiration photo shoot, and the photographers at Callaway Gable captured every stunning detail. Read on to learn about the team’s design inspiration and to see a practically endless amount of wedding decor eye candy!

Coco Chanel Inspired Wedding Decor in Pink, Lavender and Platinum

It all started with Nikki’s Chanel obsession. Her love of all things Coco Chanel sparked the inspiration for the Ode to Coco photo shoot, a chic collaboration with Revelry Event Designers , Wildflower Linen and The Hidden Garden Floral Design .

Nikki designed Ode to Coco as a 1920-1930 period tone-on-tone tabletop, with color being present in the flowers only. She chose soft greys, silver and platinum for the base of the design. The table linen was made of a luxurious crushed velvet and Youngsong Martin of Wildflower designed quilted chair covers to look like Chanel bags, complete with crystals and fabric-woven chains.

Matias Doorn of Revelry created a backdrop in various shades of grey with rows of hanging glass globes layered over fabric and two stunning silver globe chandeliers adorned with crystals hung from above. The table was embellished with pieces from Nikkis just-launched handmade silver collection; items like ornate silver chargers with lapis stones and silver peacock napkin rings. The Hidden Garden Floral Design created floral arrangements in pink, lavender and green, arranged in silver vases, which are also part of the new Exquisite Events product line.

The photo shoot was embedded into 1920s-30s Paris with the addition of hosts Zelda and Scott Fitzgerald, who naturally invited their friends to the dinner party. Cole Porter, Gertrude Stein, and Ernest Hemingway all dined at the Ode to Coco table at their assigned seat, next to the elegant place cards designed by Copper Willow Paper Studio .

The table glimmered in soft candlelight and a palatable menu was featured on beautifully simple cards that sat atop silver charger plates. Brian from Callaway Gable Photography captured amazing shots and brought the table to life. We think Zelda and Scott would have been very happy with this elegant and timeless table setting; a perfect ode to Coco Chanel!.

I adore the combination of organic textures with modern simplicity in this wedding decor inspiration shoot created by photographer Binita Patel and her talented team of collaborators. From the soft centerpieces in rock containers to the sleek shapes of the table and stemware, this is a table that calls for celebration!

Slate Gray, Green and Ivory Wedding Style Inspiration Shoot

From photographer and photo shoot designer, Binita Patel : This shoot was inspired completely by earth’s simplest color tones: green, slate and ivory. I really wanted to make sure that everything about this shoot felt very clean, simple and natural. Our linen supplier had a wonderful slate-colored over cloth, with a rough and almost rock-like texture, so this was the starting point of the design. From there, I enhanced the concept by choosing rectangular plates to maintain a sense of simplicity and really emphasize clean lines in the tablescape design. I went with more modern-shaped stemware and the the clear mirage chairs to add onto the modern feeling of the theme. I nearly jumped for joy when I saw that the florist had oh-so wonderfully designed the florals using an almost rock-like container. Even our hair and makeup artists stayed true to the theme by selecting natural and minimalist tones for the bride’s look. Everything came together beautifully, and the Artists for Humanity EpiCenter served as a beautiful and open backdrop for the shoot. With modern and colorful art pieces on the walls, the bright colors were the perfect compliment to the simple tones of the overall theme.
