‘Dorohedoro’ Manga Gets New Japanese Promo One of the under the radar series that’s really quite striking with what it does visually and with the writing is that of Dorohedoro from Q Hayashida. The series has recently released its twentieth volume in Japan and Shogakukun has put together a new nearly four minute promo for it. It highlights the quality of the artwork in a great way with all of its rich detail that feels positively old school in a way compared to the slimmer designs of so many series these days. Viz Media has been releasing the title in North America for some time and has sixteen volumes out with the seventeenth scheduled for mid-December.

Check out our coverage of the series.

Plot concept: In a city so dismal it’s known only as “the Hole,” a clan of Sorcerers have been plucking people off the streets to use as guinea pigs for atrocious “experiments” in the black arts. In a dark alley, Nikaido found Caiman, a man with a reptile head and a bad case of amnesia. To undo the spell, they’re hunting and killing the Sorcerers in the Hole, hoping that eventually they’ll kill the right one. But when En, the head Sorcerer, gets word of a lizard-man slaughtering his people, he sends a crew of “cleaners” into the Hole, igniting a war between two worlds.
