After a bit of news leaked out in August about who would be directing the dub for the release of the Legend of Legendary Heroes, FUNimation has made the formal announcement at this past weekend’s AnimeFest with Ian Sinclair passing on the news for the fans. The series was one of FUNimation’s simulcasts last year and the man behind the original work has a new series being adapted into an anime now as well with A Dark Rabbit Has Seven Lives. FUNimation’s release is planned as a bilingual DVD/BD coming in the spring of 2012, presumably in two half season sets to cover the whole thing, and the main cast has been detailed: - Ferris – Luci Christian
- Ryner – Ian Sinclair
- Sion – Eric Vale
- Miran – J. Michael Tatum
Plot concept: At his emperor’s command, Ryner Lute and his long-time comrade Ferris set out on a search for the Heroic Relics. During this journey, Ryner makes a shocking discovery – a deadly curse is spreading across the continent.
