‘Prison School’ Live-Action Opening Song Gets TV Sized Music Video Live-action adaptations of various anime and manga properties can be pretty hit or miss for a wide range of reasons, but there’s definitely some interest in seeing how the Prison School series goes over – particularly to see if it’ll get released on home video here. With the series making its way out there, Universal Music Japan has released a TV sized music video of the opening song with the group HaKU. It lets them pretty much have fun on the single stage setting while also bringing in two of the actors from the show to bring their roles to life here as well with Taishi Nakagawa and Rena Takeda. What makes this music video a bit more interesting is that it’s done by the drama series director himself, Noboru Iguchi, who has quite a range of credits over the years .

FUNimation has announced their acquisition of the show with the first two episodes going live earlier on November 3rd, 2015 with new episodes coming on weekly on Tuesday’s after that at 11:11 ET.

Plot concept: It’s crude, lewd, and shocking, and now it’s live action! Fresh off the heels of the super-successful anime, Prison School Live Action is a refreshing new take on the scandalous hit manga. There are five new male students at Hachimitsu Private Academy, the prestigious formerly all-girl’s prep school, and when the boys are caught peeping, things take a turn for the perverted! Now, the boys are stuck in the school’s on campus prison run by the beautiful and ruthless Underground Student Council, and they’ll have to scheme, flirt, and cheat their way out!
