Welcome to this week’s edition of Star Wars Thursday, a celebration of all things fun, wild, and wacky in the Star Wars universe! This week’s edition focuses on a Sith marketing campaign that is stealing the souls of our youth. “Come to the dark side, we have cookies!” Who can resist the siren call of cookies from the Dark Side? Especially when you consider that “dark” makes me think “chocolate”. Mmmmm…..
The first step, of course, is to pick out your cookie recipe. I can’t claim to help you with that one today, though future editions may take a look at some of the cookbooks I’ve seen. What’s next? You need cookie cutters to help you create the perfect impression. Williams and Sonoma has created two sets of Star Wars themed cookie cutters.
That’s right, chomp right down on Master Yoda. He won’t mind. I might suggest hiding while you nibble on Vader’s face, though. He may get touchy about such things.
After you create the villains and heroes, be sure to make cookies of the ships! The site even has a “decorating guide” to help you be sure you do it right!
Now, what does every Sith baker need to keep those cookies from becoming too dark? A Dark Side spatula- also from Williams and Sonoma. Show your Darth allegiance as you scrape those soft and chewy cookies off your baking sheet! I’m sure Lord Vader won’t mind that you are using his face, right? Watch out for that “force choke”.

I also wanted to show you an awesome Death Star cookie jar that popped up in my feed this week. Unfortunately, it was only available at the Star Wars Shop, which closed its doors July 18! Ah well, you’ll just have to eat them all. No sharing – that’s not evil enough for the Dark Side!
