The theatrical anime adaptation of Zutto Mae kara Suki Deshita. has had a lot of progress announced this weekend with the reveal of the first trailer, the cast and the main staff for the project. The film is set to release in spring 2016 with Aniplex Japan distributing. Animated by Qualia Animation, the film is directed by Tetsuya Yanagisawa based n the script by Yoshima Narita. Maki Fujii is serving as both character designer and chief animation director. The cast announced includes:
- Yuu Setoguchi: Hiroshi Kamiya (Durarara!!)
- Natsuki Enomoto: Haruka Tomatsu (Sword Art Online)
- Souta Mochizuki: Yuuki Kaji (Shingeki no Kyojin)
- Akari Hayasaka: Kana Asumi (Haiyore! Nyaruko-san)
- Haruki Serizawa: Kenichi Suzumura (Kara no Kyoukai)
- Miou Aida: Aki Toyosaki (K-On!)
- Koyuki Ayase: Tsubasa Yonaga (Cardfight!! Vanguard)
- Hina Setoguchi: Momo Asakura (Charlotte)
- Koutarou Enomoto: Natsuki Hanae (Tokyo Ghoul)
- Saku Akechi: Hikaru Midorikawa (Little Busters!)
- Sena Narumi: Sora Amamiya (Isshuukan Friends.)
