One of the few short shows from the summer that didn’t make its way over here is that of Kaijuu Sakaba Kanpai!, which riffs off of the Ultra franchise. The three-minute episode shorts were produced by DLE and kicked off back in July. Now Bandai vIsual has set the home video release for the show and it’s pretty minimal overall as it’s getting just a single DVD release to hold it all that’s at least well priced at 2,500 yen. The release is scheduled for January 29th, 2016 and will come with an unaired episode and the promotional videos and commercials for it. Plot concept: Various monsters from the Ultra franchise visit the “Monster Bar” every evening to drink away their troubles, whether they have fought a good fight against the Ultra heroes that day or if they’ve been beaten black and blue. The monsters all gather to refresh themselves, to gather their energy, and to come up with more sinister plans for tomorrow. Baltan is the shop manager of the “Monster Bar,” his assistants are Dada and Kanegon, and his part-time worker is Pigmon. The bar’s regular customers include: Red King, Eleking, Gomora, Gudon, Zetton, King Joe, and Twin Tail.
