The fall block for the Ultra Super Anime Time block of anime shows has had a partial pickup so far with the third season of Miss Monochrome on the way and now the second part of it has been acquired as well. Crunchyroll has revealed that they’ll be simulcasting the Hackadoll series. Crunchyroll will debut it on Friday, October 2nd, at 11:30am ET. They’ll be streaming it worldwide outside of Asia. The series will star Nanami Yamashita, Kaya Okuno, Miyu Takagi and Reimi Yukarino. The show is set to be directed by Ikuo Geso and comes from Creators in Pack and Studio Trigger.
The summer season of this block included Wakaba*Girl, Miss Monochrome: The Animation 2nd Season and Wooser no Sono Higurashi: Mugen-hen.
Plot concept: The anime personifies the app’s customization engine as three “HackaDolls”, all of whom are voiced by members of the voice-actress unit Wake Up, Girls! — the personal entertainment AI and main navigator HackaDoll #1 (played by Miyu Takagi), the anime expert HackaDoll #2 (Kaya Okuno), and the knowledgeable otaku HackaDoll #3 (Nanami Yamashita).
