‘Koudai-ke no Hitobito’ Manga Getting Live-Action Film Kozueko Morimoto’s manga series Koudai-ke no Hitobito has gotten the nod for an adaptation with plans for a live-action film now announced. Morimoto’s name isn’t a household one to be sure but a number of anime fans will be familiar with their Gokusen work, which was adapted as an anime series and released here by Media Blasters. That property saw extensive adaptations, including three live action TV series, two specials and a film.

With this series, which has four volumes out as of the end of this month, it’ll get a 2016 release with details of the production to be revealed in the future. The manga began in 2013 and is serialized in Monthly You magazine from Shueishia.

Plot concept: This comedy depicts the romance between a quiet, day-dreaming female employee named Hirano and Koudai, the handsome male upper-tier employee who just arrived from the New York branch. Despite having trouble talking with people, Hirano is suddenly invited to eat with Koudai for some reason.
